\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The Patagonia Torrentshell rain jacket is a tough, water and windproof shell that is great for around town, or demanding mountain activities.\u00a0 The jacket features a 50d 3-layer with a 100% recycled nylon face, a Trico backer on the inside, and Patagonia’s own H2No membrane that makes this jacket waterproof.\u00a0 The jacket is also coated with a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Resistant Coating).\u00a0 This is one tough jacket at a reasonable price.\u00a0\u00a0<\/h5>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The fabric is a durable rip-stop material that is quite heavy and a bit on the stiff side, and it is breathable.\u00a0 Since this jacket is on the cheaper side of Patagonia’s rain jacket collection, it does lack in some features, but overall it has many nice features.\u00a0 \u00a0The main zipper as well as the pocket zippers are not “waterproof”, but they do have flaps under and over the zippers to help seal out the rain.\u00a0 The hood is adjustable and large enough the wear over a helmet.\u00a0 It also has a nice brim that helps to keep water from dripping on your face.\u00a0 The cuff have Velcro\u00a0 adjustments, and the bottom hem has a draw string to tighten it up around your waist.\u00a0 Also, yes, it has pit-zips!\u00a0<\/h5>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0This jacket has a regular fit, so there is plenty of room to wear layers under it.\u00a0 The Torrentshell\u00a0 jacket can also be stuffed into it’s own pocket when you need to pack it up.<\/h5>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Overall, the Patagonia Torrentshell 3L rain jacket is a very nice jacket for the price.\u00a0 Great if you want a jacket that is tough and durable.\u00a0 If you’re looking for lightweight and packability, you may be better off with the Granite Crest or Cloud 10 jackets.
