Some Of My Favorite Products

This page  is all about showing you those certain pieces from various companies that I feel should not be overlooked.  Pieces that just have (at least in my mind), that little something extra special.  My Top Picks….  My favorite products!

The Arc’teryx Sawyer Hoody

Just an amazing softshell. It is designed for more urban use, as it does not have a helmet compatible hood. However, the GoreTex Infinium will block the wind, and the soft fleece backing on the inside of this jacket adds some extra warmth. It's a perfect shell on top of an insulated layer like a Proton or Atom. This jacket just feels great!

The Scarpa Zodiac Plus GTX

The Scarpa Zodiac Plus GTX. The best Hiking boots that I have ever owned. These boots are built like a tank, but flexible and very comfortable. A GoreTex membrane makes these boots waterproof, and very breathable, so that your feet don't smell after a long hot day.
The Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 Jacket
This jacket is very nice, it's soft and flexible (stretchy), like a softshell, but also water and windproof like a hardshell. This lightweight jacket is very breathable and just a pleasure to wear. One of my favorites
The Peak Design Everyday Backpack
This has been a great backpack for me. I own two of them, an older 20L size that I use for my camera gear, and a 30L that I use for travel, and weekend trips. They are really well built, comfortable, and extremely versatile. Just an awesome backpack to have!
The Arc’teryx Nuclei Jacket
An amazing jacket! A synthetically insulated jacket with 60gsm of Coreloft insulation. It is extremely lightweight, and VERY warm. What also makes this jacket great, is it's ability to block the wind. A cold wind is no issue when wearing this jacket. You will not feel it at all! This jacket is not breathable, but that is what helps to hold in the warmth.

The Arc’teryx Kyanite Lightweight Fleece Jacket

Super soft, stretchy, and one of the most comfortable pieces you will ever put on. It's great for just about anything when you just need that little extra warmth.

The Rab Generator Alpine Jacket

A warm belay jacket with 133gsm of synthetic insulation to keep you warm. This jacket will protect you from cold wind, and bad weather. It fits and feels great too!

The Cortazu Insulated Hardshell

Cortazu's insulated hardshell that is warm, comfortable, and perfect for many winter mountain activities.

The Arc’teryx Alpha Parka

An amazing jacket. A very warm belay jacket designed for ice and mixed climbing. With 850 fill power down, and a GoreTex Infinium fabric with Hadron reinforcement, this is a top of the line jacket!

Mackage Kenji-RF Ski Jacket

An amazing Down jacket with a reflective outer face fabric. Truly unique! This ski jacket is super soft and warm, rated down to 5 degrees F. It is filled with 850 goose down, and has a tough water resistant and windproof outer fabric. When you put it on, it just feels great!

The Mountain Equipment Concordia Fleece

The softest, most comfortable fleece that I've had. A warm jacket that's very breathable. Great under another layer.

The Scarpa Mescalito TRK GTX

An awesome boot designed for rugged hiking and trekking. This boot is loaded with tech and features. Waterproof, breathable, and made with Perwanger suede. This boot is great for long days and carrying a heavy backpack.

The Norrona Lyngen Alpha 100

This is Norrona's most breathable jacket. The outer fabric is highly wind resistant, and is backed on the inside with PolarTech Alpha insulation. The jacket is very lightweight, but surprisingly warm.

Helly Hansen Crew Hooded Mid-Layer 2.0

This is truly a great jacket! It is designed for sailing, but it is also perfect for many other uses. It is sleek, super comfortable, and looks awesome. This is an insulated jacket with a Helly Tech membrane, keeping you waterproof and windproof.

The Cortazu All Weather Hardshell

That perfect hardshell for just about anything. A waterproof, windproof, breathable Dermizax EV membrane keeps you protected from all types of weather. This jacket is durable, fits great, and has lots of nice features.

Mountain Equipment Oreus Jacket

One of the best jackets in the market when it comes to it’s warmth to weight ratio.  An amazing jacket all around.  The insulation in this piece was developed by ME, and it took five years to create the perfect Jacket.  Great for many mountain activities.

Arc’teryx Atom Jacket (LT)

The Arc'teryx Atom LT now called the Atom Jacket has been one of my favorite and most worn jackets since I first purchased one several years ago. This one, the Beams edition is the second Atom LT that I own. It's an extremely versatile Jacket.

Norrøna Lofoten Hiloflex 200 Jacket

This is a very nice fleece jacket from Norrøna. It's soft fleece interior is warm, and the outer face fabric is tough, wind and water resistant. The jacket is also very stretchy allowing for flexibility in all directions. A great mid layer, or stand alone jacket.

The Helly Hansen Alpha 4.0 Ski Jacket

One of Helly Hansen's most popular resort ski jackets, and I can see why. This jacket has a lot of nice features for skiing, but it can be worn everyday as well. It fit's and looks great!

Maui Jim Maverick Sunglasses

These sunglasses have quickly became one of my favorites. The Maverick are your classic aviator style frames, and these have the amazing Maui Sunrise mirror lens. They are very lightweight, and look great.

The Rab Mythic G

Simply one of the best jackets that I have ever worn! It's so light that you don't even know your wearing a jacket, but you won't believe how warm it is thanks to 1000FP down, and Rab's TILT heat reflective technology.

The Yeti Hopper Flip 8

The Yeti Hopper Flip 8 is like and over-sized lunch box, or a "personal" cooler. The Hopper Flip is available in three different sizes to suit your needs. It is a soft cooler that is tough. The zipper alone tells you how well built it is. This cooler is great for day trips, beach outings, fishing trips and many other uses where you don't need a bigger heavier solid cooler. This will keep it's contents cold for the entire day!

The Arc’teryx Gamma  Lightweight Hoody

This has been a favorite of mine for many years. I call it a "second layer of skin". A protective lightweight jacket to wear over a fleece or an insulated jacket to give you some extra wind resistance, rain protection, and help keep you warmer. It's even nice as a stand alone jacket in warmer weather. This jacket used to be called The Gamma SL Hoody.

Ortovox Piz Boe Jacket

A lightweight jacket mostly designed for skiing, but it’s great for just about anything.  The unique part of this jacketis it’s insulaton.  Ortovox is known for using Swisswool insulation in all of their jackets.  This jacket is warm, lightweight, and trim fitting.  Simple, yet still a technical piece.
